The Lamb of God, symbol of comfort and hope, donated by Pope Francis to a delegation of ten people and then distributed to all the participants at the Jubilee Prayer Vigil “To Dry the Tears” held in Saint Peter’s Basilica.
This image represents the Agnus Dei, that is, the Paschal Lamb who was victorious over the death suffered on the altar of the cross. He is surrounded by the Latin text of the verse “And God will dry every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 7:17).
