Shrine St. Anthony and Mary Star of the Sea

Diocese of Kingston

Port Antonio

Port Antonio is the capital of Portland, a civil circumscription of Jamaica. The only Catholic parish of this capital bears the name of the patron saint of this sea port as well as the name of Mary Star of the Sea as the Church overlooks the eastern harbour of this small city. The Jesuits built the first Church in 1901, later the present church was built to replace the old one. This church , built in the Spanish style, possesses a beautiful marble Altar, a choir loft and also possesses an Original painting of the Merciful Jesus by one of Jamaica's well-known artists.
