The Cathedral was dedicated in 1962. The original building was destroyed in a tragic fire and 1956. The impressive Post-Modern Gothic building was designed by the architects Eggers and Higgins of New York. The building is well known for its spectacular 67 foot high windows designed by Jean Barillet which evoke St. Chapelle in Paris. Equally notable is the ceramic reredos of "The Savior in Glory" designed by Enzo Assenza.
